Rosa Mexicano: the food and drinks are mediocre and overly-expensive for the quality. My Review: We went here for a birthday party with a bunch of people. The ambiance is upscale and it felt comfortable for our party of 10.  However, when looking at the menu I didn't see anything that looked extremely appealing and the worst part were the *prices!  I mean, I'm happy to pay good money for food that is worth it (eg. spending $40+ on a filet at a great steak house).  However, at Rosa Mexicano all of their meals are expensive.  The tacos... yes tacos I ordered were $20.  If you are gonna be an upscale place, serve upscale food; don't have an upscale atmosphere and serve $20 tacos. Not only was the food mediocre in quality, but the drinks were sub-par as well.  Granted, I will say they had more alcohol than usual, but again for $10 a margarita, I'd expect more than a tiny scotch glass of the beverage. Overall I was far from impressed.  One restaurant in Atlanta I not only wouldn't go to again, but I'd even suggest another if anyone else was thinking about trying it. NOTE about parking:  I was hoping there was some type of Valet, but there wasn't.  Instead we found a parking place on the street (which I don't recommend because the meters are expensive - instead park in the parking garage for 2hr free).  But then, even if you did park on the parking garage they would not validate or anything if you spend more than 2 hours at the restaurant.

I had dinner here and went to the club as well. The food was good and the restaurant is beautiful! The restaurant is basically a sushi restaurant. Everyone at the restaurant was accomodating even though there was a huge dinner crowd. I would come back here for dinner because it's on the strip and a decent starting point for hitting up other clubs, but it wouldn't be on my list of dinner spots to hit up if I wasn't already planning something in the area. There are like 500 stairs up to the restroom. Then once on the restaurant level, there are like 1000 stairs to get down into the club. It didn't bother me, I just had dinner, I needed the exercise, it's just kinda difficult in 5 inch heals and I'm clumsy. The club. The decor was cheesy.  Seriously, it was like the 90s got lost in the 2000s and it kinda looked like a dump, literally, there was trash all over the floor.  Normally I don't really care about this because I can party in the street and be happy, but we spent a ton of money on dinner and this was supposed to be an upscale joint, it wasn't. We didn't have to pay for cover because we had dinner at the restaurant there. The crowd was diverse and a little rough around the edges, but I like that most of the time. Everyone was just out dancing and having a good time. WARNING: Aggressive gross guys! I'm talking about the sweaty drunk guys that normally have really bad social skills but when you give them a drink they turn into some Don Juan and think they can just grab you...WTH!? No thanks. The music...mashups, top 40 and house...all thrown in, just like that, for real, it was obnoxious. The dance area and the entire club area was small, so it was annoying when some guy decided that he was going to start break dancing in the middle of the floor and everyone had to clear out of his way. But, when he was done, everyone was back on the dance floor doing their thing. Overall, I had a good time because I was with a fun group of friends. The restaurant is cool and I'd go back there, but I wouldn't go back to the club. It almost seemed like the club was 18 and over, not 21 and over.

i enjoyed reading the other reviews. this place is a total crack up. ah, the KONG.... this is the horrible place that no one admits to frequent... and all the no ones are sipping up scorpion bowls together in this place! funny. i've met some of my lifelong friends here. have a soft spot for this place (and boston and cambridge sucks so to have a soft spot about anything here is a big deal). oh the memories your closest friends in a scorpion bowl then fishing out the plastic figurines afterwards.
