by Alexander M. on Carman's might just be my personal favorite brunch spot in the city. For one thing the staff makes the wait go by painlessly. Seeing as seating is limited, they keep the place stacked with magazines, papers, and serve coffee to patrons in line. (The coffee, btw, is outstanding) Then comes the menu. There are usualIy only four options - a french toast dish, a pancake dish, something eggy, and something meaty. Regardless of what you choose, it's bound to be delicious. My only problem is deciding; "I really want that french toast but that omelette sounds amazing." The country sausage and the applewood smoked bacon make an excellent addition to any meal. On top of that, Carman's is just a wonder to look at. One glance will reveal many little bits of memorabilia sure to make you smile. Can't say much else. A little place tucked away in South Philadelphia, every bit as good as its followers will tell you.
