I honestly wish that I could give this place negative stars. That's how much I dislike Pod. My boyfriend and I went there for our friend's birthday, she had made a reservation for 4 and we expected to be seated as soon as possible. We walked a couple blocks from where we parked our cars and saw that the place was jammed packed and figured "eh, okay we have to wait. Big deal." Well an hour and a half went by, and the hostess finally came back to us and apologized because she "forgot" about us. She rushed us to our seats (we were seated near the rotary) and we received a complimentary appetizer. I forgot what it was, but it was something small and not very flavorful. Anyway, we all ordered our food and to be honest with you I don't remember what we ordered... this has to have been almost two years ago. I remember that our food took forever to come out. I think I had wasabi crusted something, but all I remember is that my food was DRY, my boyfriend's food was TINY (one bite and he was done.. no joke), my friends food was undercooked, and her boyfriend's food was soggy. We figured that it took us an hour and a half to be seated, it would probably take two hours for our food to be recooked. We just paid our enormous bill (for less than mediocre food) just to be done with everything. Even to this day I am STILL disgusted. Needless to say, I haven't been back since, if you want sushi go to Sushi Land in Bryn Mawr. The food is cheaper and tastes better, plus you won't have to wait over an hour to be seated :)

I like Jillian's. I only come through town about once a year for a convention and this place is super convenient. I'm not the only person who knows it either, because plenty of companies and organizations, mine included, use it for parties and luncheons. With that in mind, their service is pretty great. They're accomodating and will work with you to meet your needs. During a dinner rush a few weeks ago, we kept asking for more and more tables as unexpected folks continued to join our group throughout the night. Very awesome of them. The food itself leaves a little something to be desired. It's not bad, by any stretch. They are one of the few places I've ever been that can prepare a steak properly. But nothing really stands out. They're not approaching greatness anytime soon, but for a decent meal or a good party venue, Jillian's won't do you wrong.
