Very fun place to dance. They have music for (almost) everyone. I believe they have R&B, house, salsa...and I can't remember what other type of music they have. The rooms are easy to access...it's like a big circle. On a Saturday, I went there for my sister-in-law's birthday. We had a blast. I'm not a big clubber, but I (finally) had fun at a club. The club has a diverse group of people and a diverse selection of music. Fun place.

Players! The only burger joint I can count on being in some danger once every 6 months (usually, if not always, threats of closure due to the UT). Well, as of this moment, Players is still around, and their beers are AWESOME. I've been going here since before buy porn, cigarettes, or even drive for that matter. The staff has not changed. Not one person I don't recognize from 6 years ago. Love the place, it's got a pseudo-beer-garden feel to it, is no longer 24 hours, and could use some TLC on the fencing, but all in all is in great shape. Upon entering there's Steel tubing that creates your queue, with a no-nonsense counter for ordering your grub and getting the hell out of the way. A cooler full of beer, about 4 or 5 different ice/water dispensing mechanisms when you enter the seating area, and a cartoonishly large rear projection TV with some sort of Longhorn affiliated activity going on. Or Nascar. Food comes out quick and hot. Consistently delicious, not too greasy, not too lean. Just right for preparing your stomach to soak up some wheatbarleywateryeast or what have you. The fries are standard affair, but one thing that i just cannot get past is their napkin dispensers. For the love of all that is good in this world, would Player's PLEASE just replace those god-forsaken things. It's bad for nature, honestly. Every time I approach the dispenser I think of all the feet of napkin that have been wasted by my and other's inability to operate this thing. You pull down, and according to the instructions on the plastic, you pull up to tear. Nope, tear to slow, and you look like an idiot because you're slowly tangling up the roll. Pull too fast and you've got a picture perfect stack of napkins over your shoes and, yes, you look like an idiot. Disclaimer: I really don't care about the dispenser THAT much, given my 5, but seriously guys? Time for an upgrade. I would take fig leaves over this thing.

I went to an Atmosphere show at the Grand earlier this year.. and actually used the ATM in this bar but didn't grab a drink. (The Grand is right across the street! So if you go to a show there you should hit up this bar!) One of my best friends moved up to the city.. right off of Van Ness. We went to Route 101 last night.. trying to find something close to his place. The bartender was super sweet and she even "created" drinks for us; and the price wasn't bad at all! This place has two pool tables and a couple couches. Nice little dive bar.. we will definitely go again :)
