Went here on a Sat night and got in before 11p for free. Decore: Modern w/ nice long bar. Floor plan: -Small booth area right by the doorway. -2/3 of floor is the bar. -Small space with couches before bathrooms -Staircase up to a small VIP Loft area where the DJ booth is also at. They had friendly bar tenders and good music. HOWEVER, me and my friends left around 11:30P cuz absolutely no one was dancing. People were just drinking and mingling...but for that, the music was loud, so you would have to shout like at a club. I asked the bartender, if people danced and where (cus there is no space), he told me that by midnight, everyone is dancing and they get a couple girls onto the bar top...so we left. I would go here for a bday and reserve the loft VIP area...at least there is some space to dance up there probably.

Looks like the next level of dining mixed with entertainment in Atlanta. Hasn't opened yet, but the publicist told me it will be sometime soon. Luckie Food Lounge will have a full menu and will accommodate over 300 people. There will be a lovely rooftop view that I can't help but see every time I drive by here after work. Loving the spin on the name and the street. Being the only place close to the aquarium to get a bite to eat and with the W Hotel and other office locations popping up less than 4 blocks away I think they are in for a mad rush when they open the doors. I guess that's what being Luckie is all about. I will update after I experience the venue first hand, but for now based on the look of the space and the helpfulness of the employees in getting info, I give it 5 stars. Update - 7/18/2007 I came. I saw. I got Lucky. I've been to Lucky twice now, once for dinner and the second time for their Grand opening party on the oh so lucky day 7/7/7. I enjoyed the experience. French onion soup was good and I am now happy I don't have to go all the way to Capital Grille if I want a quick fix of this high calorie concoction. Also had the spinach dip, which these days is becoming a standard starter at Atlanta's trendy night spots. Main course was the Hawaiian rib-eye. Not much of a rib-eye fan because of the fat, but the flavor of this dish made it worth it. Portions were nice and large, so don't expect to leave hungry. Overall this is a superb addition to Atlanta's selection and sorely needed as there are no similar options between Coca-Cola and the Aquarium. Both times I went I think the upstairs, members only section was closed. I don't think it's "complete" yet, but there will be an annual fee to set foot on the skyline surrounded rooftop. Like any new establishment, they need to work out the kinks, but for a newbie I say they are doing quite well. Oh and let me add...I've also been with a group of 30, from my job. Like other folks have mentioned, they sat us in the sushi area since it's a long table in a semi private area. They could have used an extra server and a couple of the plates got mixed up, but everyone was happy in the end. It was a team lunch from work and most of the people hadn't been so it was better than the old standby restaurants like Cheesecake or Houstons. - If you want a glimpse at what the restroom in Nip/Tucks (new season starts soon!) new Cali office might look like, check the ones out at Luckie...modern, interesting, you will probably stay longer than you really need to...
