by Saundra Muchmore on I came here on a Thursday night for a friend's birthday. This club is a lot like Guys and Dolls in its hay day but not as cool. At a lot of the LA clubs I've been to, it seems like most people are at a table (myself included), but at My Studio, I don't think you have any other choice BUT to be at a table. Your My Studio universe will be ruled by what table you're at so either know someone, or have wads of cash. (ALWAYS know someone!) The pictures online look much more interesting. I miss the days where they tried to make clubs look cool... When you're in the club, you can barely see ANYTHING! (How people are having all these celeb sightings is beyond me). Also, you can barely hear anything! I've never been to such a loud club in my life. Usual club volume is "shout over music and you can hear the person next to you" volume. This was more like, "shout in the person next to you's ear and he/she still won't be able to hear you" volume. I was disappointed in the bottle service. There was a good 45 minutes where we didn't get served. Considering the fact that my friend who was throwing the birthday party is a VIP at the club, I thought that was kind of ridiculous. Needless to say, I have no interest in going back.
by Andre N. on Went here last night for a Bday celebration ...been there alot of times but seems diffrent ...my friend said were going to "gramercy room" lol didnt know was STRata ..any the promoter sd that we would get in for 8 dolars on the list was ture gave a free bottle of champagne ..was true dj ..was great ...but in all a good night
by Jodee Sapara on this club sucks a big one! you have to pay $20 for valet parking and the valet guys are absolute scum bags - after i picked up my car, i noticed my change drawer was open and they stole $10 out of there - they even took my quarters - so parking ended up being $30 for me! there are two sections to the club, the first floor is accessible to everyone, small dance floor, low ceilings, totally ghetto! you have to be a VIP (aka: pay for bottle service) to go to the roof top, don't stress it's NOTHING special - wow you get to be on top of a building where NO ONE is dancing - you can either take the elevator (that you can use sometimes) or walk up about 6 flights of stairs. i will never return here again! if you're looking for a good club in LA, the only one i have found is Boulevard 3 on Sunset Blvd.
