by M-O-Three O. on Although I HATE CLUBS...I went here tonight for my homegirl's bday party! It was a nice place and yadda yadda yadda....but the fucking Valet services LOST MY DAMN keyless entry to my home alarm system! Now I'm gonna have to buy a replacement and pay prolly $100! FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But ,we did get there before 11pm and there was NO line and it WAS 100% free....other than that....It's nice and diverse and crowded.
by Brady K. on Over four years ago I celebrated my birthday at Bruno's. I remember very little of the occasion other than me and thirty of my closest friends arrived in a Ford F450 shuttle bus, already drunk from an on board cooler full of beer and vodka ice cream shots. This past weekend a friend celebrated her birthday at Bruno's and I finally returned to those red mattress pad walls. But upon entering and paying cover (with a closed dance area) I wasn't sure how much fun it would be. It was crowded and friends were complaining about delays in getting their drinks. But then I found the express lane to the bar where the waitresses would get their drinks. It's not cheating if you're charming. Everything suddenly looked better. The bartenders were sweet, funny and cool - making me sex on the beach shots for my birthday girl and mixing up awesome mojitos. Even the waitresses were cool about my devious ploy - I apologized (read flirted) and offered to bus for them in exchange for indulging me. The crowd became fun - old friends came out of the woodwork, and new friends became, well, err, friendlier :) Just beware of the 2am lights. It's almost impossible to catch a cab after the doors pop open and the crowd pours out into the mission.
