I'm gonna make this short and simple:  Bootie SF was AWESOME. Amazing mash ups.  Great live band (that also performed mash ups). And I guess they're pretty chill on dress code...I was wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and Sperrys.  Definitely wear comfortable clothes...the type that you can dance and jump around in allll night long, cuz you will be.  Oh, and you'll also be singing along all night.  Just sayin'.

I went to Tenjune on a Thursday night & after being promised that it was better than a shirtless Hugh Jackman spoon feeding me cookie dough ice cream, my expectations were high. I left feeling, instead of aforementioned scenario, as though Too Short had forced me to eat brussels sprouts off his naked body in the presence of a rabid raccoon. 1. Why was I the tallest person there? Seriously. I am 5'10 in my high high heels, but honestly, I was staring down at most of the men all night. 2. What is with the throwback lines people drop here? "Hey there, I just noticed an angel is missing from heaven." [pause to gauge my reaction. I don't react]. "You. I mean you." [no reaction] "You know, you're the angel missing from heaven." [no reaction] 3. The music was strange & the DJ was not amicable to suggestions. Here's one anyway: stop playing Hall & Oates and maybe your kiss will be on my list.

Good burgers Great poppers Horrible service The waitressing at the tables is pushy (on the reorders/refills) yet inattentive (on the details and the food). The lady behind the bar seems really pissed (and I don't mean drunk) with a chip cleaving the Grand Canyon into her tender shoulder. The music (its played 50% of the time I have visited) is "interesting" and can serve as a distraction from the crowd's buzz, and your table's chatter. The Rite Spot is a very Tight Spot Especially on nights when they have live music (which is also the nights when the waitresses can basically lose track of you and your needs, let alone wants), so make sure you get your group there on time and grab enough chairs. Net-net, a dive bar with a nice interior, In a place you would not quite expect it to be, With average++ food, and very-below-average service. Buck up, Rite Spot, if you your service stays on the spotty side of right, you will earn a reputation as a Wrong Spot!
