This review is only for the jazz club, as we didn't order food. My gin & tonic was bad -- flat, and way too strong. But as a concert space, this is wonderful. There truly isn't a bad seat in the house -- we arrived kind of late and were well off to the side, and still had a perfect view. The hall manages to be both airy and intimate, and of course the music was phenomenal. I was completely happy.

I went to ecco after reading a lot of other people's rateclubs reviews. My family and I ordered a ton of food and I kept a menu just so that I could write a comprehensive rateclubs review =) We ordered tapas style, and of course had to order the fried goat cheese balls with honey and black pepper that everyone was raving about. They were delicious. Just lightly battered and fried. They were amazing. Even the people who didn't like goat cheese thought it was a wonderful dish. We also ordered a 3 meat and cheese dish with the prosciutto di parma which was good, I like it to be a little stronger in taste but was still good, and then the country style pate which was more of a meat consistency than pate this wasn't my favorite or anything because I don't really enjoy pate but we did get the robiola 3 milk cheese which was wonderful. It had the consistency of a spreadable cheese with mild taste, nothing too overpowering, it was perfect. We also ordered the mixed olives, which i think everyone else enjoyed.. i hate olives so i didn't have any. The piquillo peppers stuffed with mushrooms, sherry and manchego was also one of my favorite dishes right behind the goat cheese. The meatballs with saffron and almond sauce were also delish, the saffron sauce was tasty. The italian style pickled vegetables were good, not really my thing and a bit sour for my tastebuds but my parents loved it. The roasted shrimp, tomato, fennel and almond was also good. We also ordered the mushroom and speck wood fired pizza. I was really disappointed with the pizza. It was quite flavorless actually. This was probably the dish I disliked the most. If i were to go back there i would definitely not order the pizza. We also ordered 2 pastas the fettucine with chicken and the chili braised pork with garlic and pappardelle. Both were good I liked the chili braised pork better. Their pastas are more on the light side and I think i'm used to more creamy and heavy pastas. We also had the fried quail with basil and lemon. I've never had fried quail before but the batter was really good and fresh. I don't think i'd order it again tho because i really felt like i was eating a small fried chicken. I didn't think it was anything that special. For dessert we ordered the olive oil ice cream with chocolate and sea salt and the smoked paprika with almonds ice cream as well. They sounded so strange but I had heard good reviews so I had to try them. I must say everyone has been right about the olive oil ice cream. It was really good. You could taste the olive oil which was nice cuz it was kinda salty and then you had chocolate bits in the ice cream which was sweet and it was a really nice combination of sweet and salty. The smoked paprika was just okay, I really couldn't taste the paprika. Overall my experience here was really good. We had an amazing waiter Charles who was so helpful and so funny. We had asked him for suggestions and when we had asked him about the fried quail he responded "oh honey, anything fried is good. Fried chicken, fried potatoes, fried cheese, I would even eat a rock if it were fried" He was very helpful, friendly, and attentive. I really like the decor it's a nice restaurant and trendy and not too expensive. I really enjoyed eating here and would go back again.
