I feel like this place is in the wrong SF neighborhood. It's absolutely huge, has some REALLY good tapas, a descent dance area, and comes complete with the skimpy dressed crazies. CALLE OCHO!!! Get there early, and you don't have to pay the cover to get into the place when it turns into a club. But seriously, while the tapas are pretty overpriced for what you get...they're really damn tasty. We had really good service too, as we ordered drink after drink, and plate after plate. We also had some party members that were an hour late, and we still received great service. I'd say for a really nice, laid-back, but classy venue...try this place. And the dancing is really fun to work that dinner off!!

Well, after reading all the great reviews for the Estate, I suggested to my friend to have her 21st birthday there. She went all out and booked a party bus as well as a VIP room at the Estate. The reservation was made about 2 months in advance, and when called the day of the party to confirm, everything was all set and they were "excited to have us." Well, after dinner it was only 10:15 and we thought we would ride around in the bus for a little while until going to Estate at 10:45. We didn't want to be the first ones there. When we arrived at the Estate we walked right up to the door and told them we had a VIP room. They checked a list and told us it would be a few minutes. After waiting 15 minutes outside in the RAIN, when we were supposed to have line privileges, the asst. manager came over to us and informed us that they had double booked the same room, and the other party was there first. We were not allowed access to the club because they were at max. capacity for those without a table. Unfortunately, all 20 of us were unable to experience the "great estate" due to lack, if not poor, communication. On a bright side, we were able to make the best of our night and had a blast at the VIP room in Gypsy Bar

Admittedly, Bowlmor has a nice atmosphere, and if you can ever get to bowl, it is good fun. However, because Bowlmor caters mostly to corporate clientele, it is nearly impossible to get a lane if you don't want to wait 2 hours. The last time I went, I was told the wait was 30 minutes. After spending a fortune on drinks and greasy food at the bar, I was then told the wait would be another 1 1/2 hours to spend an additional fortune for a lane. Bottom line, if you actually want to bowl, good luck unless you go with a corporate party. And be prepared to drop $50 per person minimum.
