by Steven M. on I absolutely LOVED this place! I dreaded having to go out near North Beach for my friend's birthday because there is no where to dance and all of the bars are exactly the same. Fortunately, we found out about this place and loved everything about it. The upstairs is more classy and a great place to hang out (even though it got really packed). Downstairs people were getting down on the dance floor and it was a totally different scene. The only problem was it got super hot, but the music was awesome!
by Daniel B. on Went here on a Friday night with a group of six. Very nice decor on the inside. Appetizers we ordered include the Pine Island oysters, goat cheese, and calamari. The oysters were very good, goat cheese was just OK, and the calamari was good, but tasted like fried calamari you can get anywhere else. My entree was their famous steak frites. Chargrilled steak over a plate of french fries. The steak was really good, very tender, but there could have been more. Too many fries and too little steak. Service was good.
