I went here once after spending about an hour at Kiss N Fly (Tuesday night). We were meeting a promoter there but as we were walking there (literally like one block away) we met a different pair of promoters so we went in with them. Griffin definitely impressed me. The decor was beautiful and the chandeliers made the venue even more posh. We had a bottle at our not -overly crowded table within five minutes. Good music, cool vibe, can't go wrong.

Okay so this place has had an identity crisis of sorts. First it was El Gringo the "gourmet comfort", then Stortini for italian and now the Red House Pizzeria. Somewhere in there, they opened the Red House Lounge off to the side - connected but separate. All in the span of about 2 years. I enjoyed them all, but perhaps the unique thing about the pizzeria now is the shockingly good deal of half off happy hour. You can get any of their house specialty pizzas for $6.75 from 5-7pm. Call it in, pick it up or have a $2 beer. This isn't some lame one-topping crapfest. Get yourself a margherita. A roasted chicken/goat cheese/pepper/pesto pizza. Some sausage n peppers. Real pizza. I'm glad I to live just down the road from here... I'll be coming by pretty often. Oh, and the lounge next door is pretty cool too. Good drinks.

I love National Mechanics. The food is really good (homemade hummus), the beer selection is decent (plus $2 yuengling pints everyday), and karaoke on tuesdays is always a good time. The atmosphere is awesome. The building itself is pretty sweet, and the tables may or may not be old church pews. The music is pretty good, last time i was there i remember RJD2 and the beatles. The crowd is usually minimal and the service has been spot-on lately. Overall - good food, good beer (magic hat #9 on tap?), good tunes. if you haven't been there, make it a priority.
