by Kathleen M. on Pure definitely has the best/strongest margarita's in Atlanta. If you aren't from the neighborhood, you might need to cab it home. The food is excellent! I personally love the American Burrito if you come with an appetite. The soft tacos are delicious as well. It has both an indoor and outdoor seating area with a friendly staff. Although it is casual, the lighting and atmosphere gives it more of a unique/lively vibe than your typical Mexican Restaurant.
by Boi P. on A Saturday night in January of 2009. Ok.. one star docked because of the douchebag doorman who let 15 people ahead of me and was continuously rude to other paying customers. This isn't Las Vegas, buddy. This isn't a multi-million dollar club. And people love San Francisco because it ISN'T Los Angeles, so quit acting and treating people like it is. (BTW, it wasn't a typo, I meant to use Vegas and LA in two different contexts) Another star docked for the most unorganized line in the world, with a bunch of idiots name dropping like there's no tomorrow. I felt like I was in Vegas with no VIP host. Crowds and mobs of people pushing and shoving their way in just to cut a deal with Mr. Douchebag Doorman. Ok.. After about an hour and 15 minutes of waiting, we're finally in. I was in a group of 3 guys and 2 girls. All of us head straight for the bar and have a hefty round of drinks. The bartenders are extremely efficient and friendly so things are already starting to turn around. Next we head for the dance floor which is not much and it's shoulder to shoulder crowded, but everyone seems to be in a good mood and having a good time which is just contagious. They're playing some kick ass House and some drum and bass. There's a few house dancers nearby and we decide to join them. By now we've loosened up and we're having a good time. A few more trips to the bar and we're doing great. The vibe is great, the music was on par and the crowd was fun and hip. Overall a great time inside the club. It's a shame that I may not visit this place again because of the experience prior to entering the club. But my friend from the area told me to just get their slightly earlier and it shouldn't be a problem. We'll see... I'll debate it when I go out there again.
