by Francine L. on Gorgeous. They really stay true to their 20s theme. Walking down the stairs to the main floor, I felt like we were at a Vegas club. TAO anyone? LOL Came yesterday on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday. We parked in an $8 structure but there's $5 lots all around the place. They're all super close but valet is available if you don't want to walk. There was a small line, but it didn't take long at all. Our group got there around 10:45. Definitely an older, more sophisticated crowd. Well dressed. Well mannered. It was a nice change of hip hoppin club scenes with the usual scantily clad girls grinding each other. I suggest coming here with a group that wants to just have some drinks and to chitchat. Tables are $25/person min not including 18% gratuity. Otherwise you can sit at the bar or just stand. Luckily we found some small tables and just pulled up some chairs. The drinks are pricey but yummy. I tried The Edison (bourbon with pear cognac) and a sip of the Mistress Nouveaux (some yummy tarty champagne concoction). The Edison was definitely good but the pinkish/orangish comes in a martini glass so our boys looked like they were drinking cosmos hahah Definitely wanna come back when we youngins can afford to just lounge at the tables. The food menu sounds delicious and I still wanna try more of their cocktails. Their drink menu is pretty extensive with a bunch of absinthe types too. We even spotted the absinthe fairy walking around with her cart. And yeah..I know I was knockin on the club scene in the beginning of this review, but this venue would really make for a big and beautiful club..just sayin..
by Richard S. on This place will eventually fail like the others have. The drinks cost way to much esp for times like we are having now. The line is fake just so you can wait and have to pay the cover. Service is sub par for a place charging that much. The people for the most part are douche bag wanna be rich guys spending their whole pay check to impress a waitress that they wont get any booty from anyways. Over all the music is horrible mix of rock and hip hop that does not mix well. I would say give it a try once just to say you went while it was open. I liked Compound much better.
