Ruby Skye is one of those clubs where you can  have a good chance to see a DJ performing live from top 100 on DJ Mag.  The good thing about this place its somewhat big, have 4 bars inside and security is more friendly than in any other place I've seen.  But the club can be too crowded.  If you want to dance in a main stage, expect to be pushed around by bunch of drunks making they way god knows where.  Sometimes I see pack of dudes just rampage throw a crowd back and forth and acting like they dont see you at all.  You cant have a seat at a table unless you are VIP so if you work your ass off all day, its not the best place to rest and have a good time, unless you looking to exercize your legs, elbows and torso by applying your weight in order to move through a crowd.  If you see a hot girl, I mean a girl with a perfect body features, most likely it is a shemale or transsvestite so beware of that!! Oh yeah, do not try to approach any Asian woman, they are just a huge gang hanging by themselfes away from the rest of the world  in a bottom right corner and lower VIP (as you would look directly at stage).   Lines to get in could be annoying especially if there is special DJ, one time I stood for 3 hours.  However while standing in a line you can make a good friend with a street hustler or watch bum performing shows and speeches for a small donation.  Best of luck, go clubbers!

The first time I came to this club it was me and my girl and we got in for free because the guy we were with knew the bouncer/owner. So that saved us $20 by not having to pay the rediculous cover charge. We ordered drinks from a lady bar tender on the upstairs level and she was super quick! we had drinks in our hands in less than a minute! so that was cool. However, the music was WHACK! I coulda swore that one minute i was dancing to hip hop and the next I was standing with a confused look on my face becasue the DJ was playing a miley cirus song. I was like really now? I think we are all over 21 here! But regardless of the shitty music, I ended up havin a pretty good time that night. The second time I came to this club was last week for my friends birthday. It was lady gaga themed so we all dressed up in lady gaga inspired outifits, make up and assecories. When we walked up to the line we were in it for no less than 2 minutes before the extremely rude bouncer opened the velvet rope and told us that we couldnt get in. When I asked him why he said it was because the 2 guys we were with were not in dress code. Hmmm thats funny, because I specifically told them that we were going to a nice club so they both wore black dress shoes, black slacks and button down collared shirts! I asked what was wrong with the way they were dressed and he started copping a major attitude with me! Meanwhile, as we are getting ridiculed and made to look like fools on the side of the club, he is letting a group of people in who looked like they had just gotten back from a day at the beach! We literally saw them letting in a guy with ripped jeans (YES- holes all in them) with a t shirt on that had a big logo on the front! Yet the guys I was with were dressed like they were going to prom and we were told we couldnt get in! Talk about being PROFILED! I was in shock! I wasnt about to take no for an answer so I started trying to pursway the bouncer to let us in. I was like there is nothing wrong with the way they are dressed! You just let in a guy in jeans and a t-shirt! Thats when he told me, and I am quoting his exact words here- to "Get the F*** outta here! Your not gettin in, so go to another F***ing club already!" I have never been treated so rudely or disrespected like that in my life! I will never go back to this club again! Needless to say, my friend who was having her birthday there ended up leaving and meeting up with us somewhere else because she was so upset that we couldnt get in! It was an all around disaster! I can garentee you that you will find other clubs in the city that will treat you better and will not PROFILE you as soon as you walk up. Take your money elsewhere. Trust me.
