The World Famous Comedy Store in West Hollywood, California was founded in 1972 and has given a lot of our celebrities their start. For example Jim Carrey got his start here along with Michael Keeton and David Letterman was the emcee here for three years. Before becoming The World Famous Comedy Store and home of so many celebrities, back in the 50's, this spot was the location of the legendary nightclub Ciro's, which drew big name headliners. Some people even think The World Famous Comedy Store is haunted by the ghosts of Mickey Cohen and other mobsters who used to run rackets out of the back room.

Even the bouncer was nice. I mean c'mon!! They should bring this place to LA, maybe I'll be more inclined to party more often.

I expected to pay, but i was not happy with the service , or the drinks , or the music.The drinks were very weak and expensive.Small dance floor. Music was not as good as i expected, There are better places with better music.
