This place is along the lines of a dive bar but don't let the small foyer fool you; this place packs a mean punch. Walk past the bar and you'll find a short staircase leading to what looks like Count Dracula's resting place or Batman's secret cave. Once inside, you'll find it quite quaint. Great lounging area in the "dungeon" as well with plenty of seats running along the brick walls splattered with graffiti. The people are all very friendly. The DJ was spinning dope electro that gets you off your ass. Only negative thing is that it got a bit stuffy in the dungeon when more people started to dance and the low ceilings paired with the bad ventilation almost made me feel faint.

I am giving STK three stars for now. I went for a birthday party in the private dining room upstairs and these are my thoughts: Upon arrival we had to walk through the restaurant to get to the private room. I was shocked at how PACKED this place was. It was above and beyond the normal business at a restaurant. There were people everywhere! It felt more like a club than a restaurant honestly. Very fun vibe. Finally got to the private dining room. Beautiful room, but absolutely freezing! Between the arctic temps in the room and the fact that I had just landed at JFK an hour and a half before, I started up those cocktails quick! The food overall was pretty good at STK, however, the service was really terrible. The waiter was very kind and I could tell he was trying, but he could not alone handle our table. That many people with so many drink orders going etc., management should have designated two servers to the table and not leave this poor guy to fend for himself. We ordered about 4 seafood platters with crab and shrimp cocktail, oysters and sashimi. It was ok. Not the best I had ever had. Caesar salad was delicious. The strip steak itself was tasty and very large in portion. Dessert, I wasn't thrilled. I will go back and try it again without a large party and hope my experience will be a bit more impressive.
