Amada may be my favorite restaurant, but I had the best single dinner of my life at Morimoto. We did the Omakase, I would advise anyone else going here to do the same. Chef's tasting menu. I don't know how many courses, seven? eight? All sorts of amazing dishes. I lost track because I was on such a culinary high, my head was in the stratosphere. ALL OUT AWESOMENESS. The decor is modern yet cool. From the white translucent tables which change colors with the back lighting to the wave inspired sculptures on the walls to the phallic table lamps (tell me I'm wrong). It's all very sleek and clean-looking. Few match the level of service here, it's as good as it gets. On a cool side note, Chef Morimoto has his own line of beers made by Rogue as part of their signature series. Twenty-two ounce bombers in a bunch of varieties. I'm pretty sure I had it here but I don't see it listed on the restaurant's website. Hmmm? I actually found it in Orlando once too. You've seen him on TV, Chef M is uber-cool and a credit to his profession. I could go on and on about this place. Five stars, indisputable. It's fine dining, so it's not cheap - FYI. If you go, do yourself a favor and get the Omakase.

I like it there. Great bartenders & waitresses. Lots of really good food. Great new porch for summertime drinks! Comfy ,neighborhood spot that gets a bit more hoppin' at night.
