I'm sure many questions plagued the minds of the fabulous and faux-famous crowd of Greenhouse patrons that one Wednesday night. - Did that tiny little Asian chick seriously just snap at the bouncer in a Boston accent for waiting in such a ridiculous line? - Why did she wince at her empty wallet after sucking down two tiny cranberry vodkas? - Who are those two adorable yuppies she is shamelessly flirting with? - What exactly did she say to repel those hairy Euro dudes attacking her from both sides in the downstairs jungle-themed room? - When did she hop up on one of the couches with her drink in the air, dancing her little house heart out? - Where did she get the balls to pour out glasses of champagne (from bottles bought by a 40 year old businessman) to newly-befriended, hot, underage, and gay Kevin? - How did she manage to avoid the aforementioned cute (yet creepy) businessman who suggested a round of nose candy in the bathroom? Alas, all of those questions can be answered by yours truly, who turned what should have been an otherwise ordinary night in Boston into an appropriately debauchery-filled night at Greenhouse, perfect to welcome my arrival in NYC. That's right, children - your favorite Boston lush is back from nearly a year hiatus, better than ever. And this time, she is officially a New York resident ;)

I love love love Hiro. Walking through the corridor to reach the main doors enlists a feeling of excitement. You can hear the music, you can feel the vibe, but you can't quite see the scene yet. Then you open the doors to the main room and you feel like you are at the hottest underground party in Japan. The room is absolutely gorgeous- the decor is "Japonaise-Chic" - huge paper lanterns, a super sexy glow of light throughout, ridiculously flexible women swinging from the ceiling and a thumping sound system. To tell you the truth, it can be a bit too loud- my ears were ringing for two days straight. But overall, if you want to go somewhere where you can dance it up and not feel pretentiousness around you in Manhattan, I would choose Hiro.
