Hmmmm my feeling for SPACE is very mixed... I've definitely had amazing nights of dancing here. It's not once, but many times... however for the last few times I've been, the lines outside and the politics of getting in has been little too much... Plus, the day of Halloween 2010, they over priced letting people into the second floor etc, etc,,,, one more thing about the Halloween night, they played really terrible music when the night supposed to get better after 2a.m... I only go there to dance, so it was tough just looking pretty in my costume...

The reviews are really mixed here on Earth NYC. I went last weekend after walking past it the previous week and after being impressed with the decor and creative menu made reservations. We went for the food, not the party which I see is a major draw for many. The food was great, the service was great and the decor was great which rarely happens for me. It was quiet and nice when we first sat down and when we left the vibe had transformed into a big party which was actually fun. My chicken vindaloo was really spicy in a good way, the fried okra was yummy, the tandoori broccoli was nice, the samosa and chutney's had us all fighting for the last one, and the Paneer Makhni rocked. If you are looking for a well prepared modern take on Indian in a unique setting, this place came through for us. I could see someone coming for the food and romance but finding themselves in the middle of a dance party. To avoid the mayhem, call ahead and make sure or go between 8-9.
