by Bonnie E. on This is my favorite place on EARTH! I moved to Austin just for Whole Foods. For 3 years I would drive from 2 1/2 hours away just to shop here twice a month! They support local farmers and rancher. But the main reason I come here again and again is the wonderful atmosphere. Everyone is so cheerful and very helpful. The let you sample just about anything and they're dedicated to providing a healthy choice of living by providing a marketplace of organic pesticide free/hormone free foods! by Valerie W. on I'm really mixed about this place. Once you get inside its kinda cool with sliding chairs and tables and a sort of industrial feel. Despite the strong nerdy overtones, the crowd here was pretty interesting and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, which is always a plus for a nightlife destination (if everyone else is having a good time, chances you are too!) The drinks were even reasonably priced.. my friend and I were very surprised to get 2 mojitos and 2 beers for 20 bucks! (Did they undercharge us by mistake?) BUT the line! Why the line! We stood outside for more than 20 minutes with no explanation about why we couldn't get in (was it at capacity? what were the chances of us getting in?) And then when we did get in it wasn't exactly packed. Where they just trying to make themselves seem cool by making us wait? LAME... Work this problem out middlesex cause you could be a cool place...!
