The Old BPOE Building - About Us
Tri-level BBQ restaurant, bar and nightclub. The main floor is a Sports Bar where we offer family dining from 10am 10pm Tuesday through Saturday where you can get the best BBQ around. From 10pm to 3am the Sports Bar transforms into the ultimate place to kick back and socialize. The basement is our Martini Bar exclusive to those ages 25+. You'll find all kinds of interesting people and things to do in our Martini Lounge. Take a walk up our blue and white lit stairs and enter the best dance club around. We got a huge dance floor and stage where you can dance the night away to the latest and greatest music pumped through the speakers by some of the best DJs you can find.

We utilize the calendar to list our specials and themes for the night. We list events and keep them open invitation. We have pictures of our building and our staff and will have pictures of our customers as our photographer has time to take pictures and constantly updating.

Yay, I'm a fan. A group of us were itching to go out dancing one night and wanted to go somewhere that had at least some class. This place was the ticket. We had table service and had a great time. The staff seem attentive and on the ball.

I always seem to get in trouble here, so last night was an experiment. I made it out with only one reprimand from the bouncer to stop dancing on the table top in front of the stage! (Someone needs to remind me with greater frequency that my gogo dancing days are long over.) One of my favorite NY DJs, The Scumfrog, was awesome last night at the digg party we crashed and we had an excellent time. Love the coat check, the multiple bars, and the cool staff. Previously at Mezzanine, I managed to lose my then-boyfriend in the crowd, grab a cute blonde away from her boyfriend on the dance floor, and start making out with her. Turns out the then-BF saw the whole thing from the balcony where he was trying to look for me. And I almost got my ass kicked by the blonde's BF. Smooooth, G, very smooth. The next time we went, the then-BF making me promise not to have a repeat performance, we run into a fellow rateclubser (I'll let her remain nameless, hint: she's a wild clothes designer!) at the bar. She and I thought it would be fun to have whiskey shots. Then boom, next thing you know we are making out on the hood of a car right in front of the bouncers and the long line of folks waiting to get in. The seriously P.O.'d then-BF saw the whole thing, got me out of there, and I proceeded to deny the incident the rest of the night: "I have no idea what you're talking about. I would NOT kiss a girl on the hood of a car in front of a club--you're losing your mind and making shit up!" My Cindi Lauper defense, Girls Just Want to Have Fu-un!, didn't go over so well either and I spent a week in the doghouse. So Mezzanine has stayed the same solid spot to hear good music and host work-y happy hour events, but luckily I have matured to just having to be asked to get off the stage. *curtsy*
