Unfortunately, you only get one and sadly for me I'm not a big enough fan of gin to enjoy the martini they were serving the day I was there. But hey, can't complain too much! It was worth less than what I would find under my sofa cushion. On top of that, there is also a 40% off special on all other drinks and a $5 food menu, which consists of typical bar food like fries and burgers -- nothing great. However, I will say that their hotdogs are pretty good. I was expecting something bland and basic, but instead it was an actual juicy sausage resting on a toasted sourdough bun with whole grain mustard. Really tasty! Another thing is that their dress code seemed non-existent during the hours of 5-7pm. So that's that, because the Edison is only worth the trip during that time. Anything other than happy hour, you will have to deal with a douchey bouncer, douchey crowd, and a "strict" dress code that's half-assedly enforced. One time they wouldn't let my friend in because he was wearing black Asics, while a group of middle-aged bros wearing Affiction t-shirts pranced right in. It was ridiculous.
by Annie D. on After a long search of nigh clubs finally found this haven where you can (gasp) actually dance. I'm not typically a fan of electronica, but the music was cool and the floor was awesome. This was the most fun I had in the over-pretentious meat packing district.
