by Jane J. on I just moved to Miami from NYC 2 months ago and ever since I moved here I heard about SET nightclub on Lincoln Road. At first I was sort of bias about going to Miami clubs because I was so spoiled by the greatness of NYC nightlife. I have been to a lot of clubs in south beach but SET is by far the best and most exclusive. All of the people, from the bar tender to the bottle servers to the manager and bussers were beautiful! As soon as I walked in I knew that this was going to be my favorite spot! The only thing I should warn you about if the dress code. Make sure you look your best!! If you are wearing a t-shit or shorts don't even bother trying to get in!!
by V N. on I have very fond memories from this particular club...passed out here once after having way too much to drink and heard the cheesiest pick-up line ever...for some odd reason that line worked! *damn u alcohol-goggles* Went with my partners-in-crime last nite...for some odd reason, started to sweat on the dancefloor! Yeah, I suddenly became one of those glistening girls. =/ Getting in was fairly quick (uh huh, we got the hook-ups) It was a pure sausage fest! Wonder what happend to all the girls on a friday...hmm, are they prepping themself? Catching up on much needed beauty sleep? Stayed home cause they got a huge pimple? Even if they had one...u can't see, cause it's super dark in there! Seriously couldn't tell if anyone was cute or not! What am I saying...what counts is the personality (but then again, you CAN'T have a conversation at the club...unless u scream 'WHAT'S UR NAME? DO U COME HERE OFTEN?...and end up with a full face of spit. Thanks, I already took a shower) K, enough about personal experiences! So here are the facts: $20 coverage charge (unless u r on the guestlist...girls-free and boys-$10) $6 coat check $11 drinks (drink was strong...depends on which bartender) minimum credit card charge was $50 last nite (friday) 3 rooms-upstairs (overlooking the main room, mainly for VIP), techno/house room (to ur right next to the bathroom) and the main room (hip-hop mixed with everything) Can't forget the outdoor smoking patio! The stairs are located on the left of the dancefloor and behind the dj stage! Good thing...plenty of seating! Parking...either valet or u drive a block down (argyle and hollywood, I think?! Bad with street names) and find a parking lot, I think it's $10! Or u can try ur luck and find street parking! I did try my luck last nite and circled around the block a total of 3-4 times until I found a spot! Think I wasted about $10 worth of gas...O_o
