On the positive side - the food was excellent and the restaurant week deals were a great bargain. Unfortunately the cons outweigh the pros. Because the restaurant week pricing is so much lower than the Ajna Bar regular pricing, we inquired about portion size as most of us wanted what was on the restaurant week menu but were hungry. The waitress informed us that the restaurant week portions were "tasting portions" and advised us that we would definately need to order supplemental rolls or appetizers. Silly us for trusting her input. Not only were the restaurant week portions large (even by American standards), they were larger than the regular menu portions, particularly the sushi rolls. The food was all great, but we had so much food we did not need. It isn't the money - it is the fact that the waitress completely lied to us. Her service was overall subpar and we were constantly without water and had to have someone chase her down both to get the check and deal with the credit card. It was not a busy night - I think she was avoiding us since she knew she lied to us.

So I decided to go this place on for my birthday, not sure what to expect. By 11pm, the place was already pretty packed, and I was late to arrive on the guestlist, but ladies were free that night, and guys only had to pay $10. The bouncers were friendly and even joked around with me, and the rest of the staff was friendly. The only problem I knew I would face were the super cramped conditions of this club. I can take being crowded, but this was super smashed crowded. It took a while just to get through to the other rooms and the bar. Not having my own space just gets me annoyed, but I tried to have a good time. Either than that, the music selection was pretty good, and the crowd wasn't troublesome either. I think I would have had a great time if I just went with the right people. Pros: Friendly staff, good music, crowded/cramped (so crowded that I was able to avoid an annoying guy that tagged along with my group, and no guys were able to approach or bother me.) Cons: way too cramped; drinks get spilled easily due to the cramped conditions and people bump into you. Would i go here again? Maybe, if I'm in the mood to deal with the cramped conditions and if I have good people to go with.
