by Lynwood Dirocco on Can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. I've been here several times. I remember coming here with some friends when it turned into a club. We would come here to eat dinner and stay the whole night (so we didn't have to pay for cover). I wonder if people are still able to do that? I recall their club being hella ghetto. Anyway, I like coming here to watch sports. Came here with my friends to watch some football on a Sunday afternoon. Their food is a little overpriced. But I LOVE their chicken wings! Order a platter for around $20. You'll get buffalo, bbq, and terriyaki. My favorite is their terriyaki. Their calamari is also very good. I forgot to mention their bucket of beer for $20. Btw, my girl friend and I saw Alex Smith here 2 years ago (for a Christmas toy drive). He's hot. ;)
by Nicky Clavey on The frying pan is a rather unique bar as half of it is on a pier and the other half is on an old barge type of boat. The pier is multi-level and gives you good views of the city and the surrounding coast line. There is plenty of seating everywhere as well. The have a pretty good special on Corona's as you can buy a bucket of 6 of them for $31. The only downfall is that they close at midnight.
by Kamau W. on Checked out Suede a couple of times in the past 12 months and both times I was mildly impressed. The decor and layout of the place is definitely dope. Drink prices were reasonable. The only problem I had was with the music. The room where house music played was pretty cool. The Hip Hop rooms have been subpar the times that I've gone. Hey, I can understand not playing typical Top 40 Hip Hop and the hyphy stuff, but if you're gonna play underground hip hop then at least play shit that people know and that they can dance to. A little ATCQ, Blackstar, Brand Nubian, etc. None of the shit that your homeboy just put together on the Mac.
