Went and saw my favorite singer there, we had dinner reservations for seats that were guaranteed an unobstructed view, but when we got there, we had seats on the mezzanine and from my side of the table, I could only see the left side of the stage, and from my friend's side, he could only see the right. There was a huge column keeping us from having the unobstructed view we hoped to have. I'm not sure if that was just a design flaw, or if we should've arrived a bit earlier for a better table, but it didn't bother me too much. Other than that, the sound quality of the show was great and the food was amazing (catfish sandwich, ftw). Only thing I would complain about would be the fact that there was only one waiter on staff. So many tables, and this guy needs a break haha. It's a great venue, awesome vibe, with some very interesting history behind it as well (it's a former speakeasy). It's perfect for very intimate performances and any up-and-coming artists. I'd definitely come back, despite the fact that I live all the way down in San Diego...

This is where the big boys play their jazz in New York City. Probably not the place to go as a last minute decision. It can be sold out, but if you can get in you'll enjoy it. Top entertainers, good service, a fun experience. But you have to plan ahead and get there in time for the start of the sets - not the way everyone likes their jazz.
