You know...I am not a fan of fancy bowling places, but I was required to be here for a work meeting.  Who would have thunk?  Really?  Let's have a meeting in a posh bowling alley! Alas, not having any input into the decision, I was forced to oblige and be there.  Foodwise?  I can honestly say I was impressed.  The fried mac and cheese was excellent and so were the mini cheeseburger sliders. The service was quite attentive as well.  For a meeting of over 100 people, the food kept flying out of the kitchen and into our stomachs. The bar?  Again, for a fancy bowling place in Midtown, you must expect to pay higher prices.  But all in in all, a decent pour. Thankfully, I live around the corner, so all I had to do was have a few drinks and then run home to hit the bottle! And forget about bowling.  Not for me!

The frying pan is a rather unique bar as half of it is on a pier and the other half is on an old barge type of boat. The pier is multi-level and gives you good views of the city and the surrounding coast line. There is plenty of seating everywhere as well. The have a pretty good special on Corona's as you can buy a bucket of 6 of them for $31. The only downfall is that they close at midnight.

I really like Blake's. Whenever plans fall through, or you can't think of anything else or anywhere else to go Blake's will always be there. I usually have a really good time at this bar, whether I'm in for a chill night (upstairs) or more for music and a good show (downstairs). The bartenders are always really friendly and the service is great even on crowded nights. It can be a bit divey sometimes, but it's a mainstay in this city. It has a great central location in Midtown so you can either make it your night's opener or you can stumble in towards the end. There's also a free shuttle that will take you to other bars in Midtown. I really appreciate a bar that cares about and feels responsible for keeping it's patrons safe and off the road!
