by Latonia Vancleve on Basically, if you want to get sloppy and wild come to this bar. Ideal college bar. We came for my bf's birthday. The deal was $30- top shelf, open bar (excluded Grey Goose and Patron) for 3 hours. There was a sign with his name on the front door. There was a group of 10 of us who got there at the same time and the bouncer was quick to make sure we all got our wristbands to start the open bar on time. The girl bartender was absolutely amazing and efficient. After my first drink, she remembered me and my order the whole night. The shots were about $5 (not included in the open bar). I was really happy with paying $5 for a shot. Maybe a little too happy because I had way too many... that's another story. The guys played beer pong most of the night and had a lot of fun with that. We snagged a large table where someone was always sitting. Were able to store our coats and bags no problem. My only complaint is the lack of dancing or dance music. I guess you have to remember it's a dive bar and they're going to play bar music- 80s, 90s, and some stuff you would hear on the radio today. I won't subtract this from the rating though because I loved everything else about this place. Even the general crowd was a lot of fun and down to get drunk. I will absolutely be returning if I'm ever in the area. Great prices, great bar tending, crazy fun time.
by Janessa Giallorenzo on It's dirty and trashy, but what else can you expect out of a club that sits literally in a garage beneath a parking lot? The music is deafening and the DJs can be extremely hit or miss (as can the crowd). The men seem to all think they have game - at least more so than in other clubs - so keep your eyes open, ladies. I can't tell you the number of times a guy has moved a girlfriend out of the way just to get near me. Must be those strong drinks they serve... This place can get PACKED. If you don't like being a sardine and unable to move around to dance, this is not for you. If you know the DJ, the staff is willing to let you dance on stage, which is a big plus. In fact, the staff will protect those who the DJs let up there, so that definitely had me happy on a few occasions. If you don't smoke or care for smoky spots, you really don't want to be here. My friends and I call it the MJQ stank. You'll definitely pick it up in under five seconds, so if you're asthma prone, stay away. ;) MJQ boils down to who you know. If you know the DJ or a staff member, you'll be fine and enjoy your night. If you don't, you might find yourself feeling a bit out of place. I've never found myself staying for long when I have no connection to the place, but I could dance for hours with the right DJ parties. Very hit or miss, but everyone loves a game of Russian Roulette now and then... right?

Singing along to Ricky Martin's Livin' la Vida Loca after two long islands and a shot of pear vodka at the 222, and finding the perfect spot in the back at Martuni's is the best feeling in the world. The two raspberry lemon drops, probably put me way way way over the edge. They're beautiful though, not too sweet! I hate super sweet lemon drinks! This is too good to be true and packed full of alcohol. Oh what an amazing night last night. I love you Martuni's.
