I absolutely love Mynting! This club is a sure thing! You go through the doors and it's like an explosion of energy straight to the spine! I'm getting psyched just writing about it! This is the beautiful people meets alchohol induced freedom meets the one club you wish you could get in to if you can't. Boys, don't go alone. Get some arm candy. Girls, flaunt what your mama gave ya if you don't know the bouncers and want to get in. Get there early. It gets crowded at around 1-1:30am. Drinks are pricey and can be weak, again if you don't know the staff. Great house music all the time and they often have live performances!

I'm definitely a fan of Cafe Du Nord and love going to see shows there. I've never had the food so I can't comment on that. I appreciate their affordable show prices and great selection of artists (from indie pop/rock to mainstream pop to bluegrass). If you don't mind walking several blocks, it's easy to get there from the 16th St BART station, which is what I usually do. The main drawback for me is not always being able to see the performers on stage during a sold out show. I'm short and end up having a hard time seeing anything on the stage, but otherwise I have a great time there. Oh, and don't forget to visit the Cafe at Cafe Du Nord, which is next door. That's a fun place too.
