by Kenneth D. on One of the few times I went with a guestlist/table and bottle service for New Years, very nice, usually I go spontaneous/random but the staff was excellent about seating us and giving us a nice spot on the balcony overlooking the large floor, the stage and the bars. I love the decor. You walk in and it's a garden and a fountain/fireplace and a small rectangular pool, very cool and they had lights on the trees so it looked very nice. The outdoor seating looked so nice drapped in white. In fact the first room we stepped in had a fireplace and two large chairs, the comparison to an old house/mansion are indeed appropriate. So the place looked nice this I had to give it, one of the nicest looking clubs I've been to in L.A., tho I've been to hellholes and dives. Sometimes it's nice to go to the nicer spot for a big party or a date, classy is the word. Right but the decor got my nod of approval, but quickly I forgot that when I saw the setup, tonic, red bull, cran and orange of our course the Goose. I felt like my own bartender scoping up drinks for my girl and I, mixmaster Kenny if you will. One thing is that guaranteed the strength of my drink because my tastebuds like extreme alcohol to non alcoholic ratio. And so I enjoyed many drinks not to mention champagne before even going to the club. The club is spacious to dance, either upstairs or on the floor, I preferred upstairs a nice couch and balcony are nice to dance on, against... over... and everywhere in between. So getting drink and dance on was achieved thanks to the great service there, why there was even an issue with something and they gave us the benefit of the doubt instead of just kicking us out assuming we could not rectify it. Good call Boulevard 3 because that is service that makes people enjoy a club or bar. The staff was very respectful and helpful, something that is missing from many clubs where the bouncers and staff and tenders seem to hate you, the place, and their job. Dunno, guess this place again can afford to have class, and speaking of, the entertainment is great, the dancers really did some good styles and it was very fun to watch, esp right before a New Years countdown. The only issue and it's me personally that is was mostly hip hop, then some top 40, but the majority was hip hop. I love all music dont get me wrong and I can dance anything but I like more variety and personally I'm an EDM kid through and through. They did play a set of some kascade and DeadMau5 so that got my fix in. Another issue is the stairs, too many of them so just be careful my clubgoers, watch your step and remember one foot in front of the other, lead and follow and you should be cool. The bathroom line got a bit long and it's confusing because it isn't guys and girls and I know I'd feel sorry for the ladies if the guys were not clean. The bathrooms can only accomodate one at a time, at least the upstairs ones, didn't go down to the others. All in all, the venue is beautiful and sleek, the service from the door to the exit of the club is polite, respectful and prompt, the crowd is all good people I did not see drama but just people having fun and dressed to the T, looking good. "Oh u fancy huh?" perhaps this was part of the spirit of the New Year as well. Bottle service was amazing and the table and couches were really awesome although people did seem to jump into tables and "sneak" from place to place, but once the drink flows we're all friends right. VIP or not it's all love at around 1am when the dude next to you has his arm round u like you went to college together, which maybe you did. I forget. So yeah this place does not disappoint, guestlist or table/bottle service and your night will be hassle free and just fun. Oh one big regret...free tacos and strawberries...not on the night I went. Quite sad... Still afterwards I did the classiest of moves and bought myself the bacon wrapped street hot dog... paid for it too. But Boulevard3, what a way to ring in the New Year, the place, the people, the time, my friends and girl.... All fit nice. Let's hope your next experience is refreshing too my friends.
