by Joshua C. on Great spot in the Mission. I came here for Mango's NYE party (for the ladies who love ladies) and had a great time. My homegirl's been here a few times and she's the one who invited us. El Rio is pretty big.. two rooms and a huge back patio. I could imagine this is a great spot to kick it in the summer. It's about 2.5 blocks from 24th Street BART, so it was easy to get to from the EB. Drinks were decent, staff pleasant and music was good. I'd definitely come back to another party here.
by sheila d. on I had a terrible time in this place last night. very shady crowd. Place is like a closet. music was awful. Very aggressive guys constantly getting hassled. I will never go back there again. I am puzzled ,why this place has gotten a good rating? Drinks also water down and bartenders not attentive. I will never go back to this hole again and i will let all my friends know about not wasting there time and money to go there.
