So this is the newest Mega Monster club of Hollywood at the moment if you havent heard about it now you have from me. From what I know of it is open Thurs-Sat. If open other nights it is usually for private party. I have been on all 3 nights. If i were to rank the nights for me at least it goes FRI>THURS>SAT....Thurs and Sat has more of hip hop mash ups music and so on Fri nights has house nights which is taking over Hollywood now. It is rare to find good nights at clubs that dont have house anymore. But, at the upstairs it has a good DJ friday nights that spins Hip Hop as well so which is cool The weird thing is that their are no walls or windows seperating the upstairs from the main big room but when you are upstairs you cant heaar the music downstairs and vice versa. So thats pretty cool how they pulled that off. It is also worth saying if you care about this stuff that they instaled in the club one of THEEEEEE best sound systems in the US or even the WORLD. Its the world famous FUNKTION 1 sound system that every DJ dies to use or at least play their music on. The garbage you hear on some random FM station would sound amazing on that sucker. Anyways the club itself is nice its huge in size smaller than Vanguard but bigger than the club Myhouse down the street. So its a good size. You got your typical bottle service and guest list lines. and dont even bother standing on the sidewalks they got cops relaxing their waiting to give you shit if you stand 3 seconds too long and they will get in your face no joke. So be warned. They are big enough where they are not tooooo picky wit who they let in. But, they still have the critical eye roaming through the lines. The crowd personally on Fri and Thurs are the best I think. Because usually on the Saturdays you got a lot of out of towners crashing the place and makes for a odd vibe inside. The place is 2 stories and has a sunken in dance floor in front of Dj and they bring in quality Dj's every week from NY, Chicago , Miami which is cool. Drinks are average hollywood price 11-13$ for Vodka redbull. Its highway robbery I know but thats going rate. Unless you pregame hard and by time you are their all you need is one of those suckers to get you going. You will see most of your Hollywood types on thurs fri their schmoozing around, theres no VIP area so everyone is at same place. They have trapeze artists every hour falling from sky and doing all sorts of ridiculous stuff, which sounds cheesy here but when you are their it actually is pretty nutty. in a good way promise. All in all a fairly decent place for time being. It should be around for good period of time. If they run it well and dont let is go to shit like a lot of other places.

This is the hotel my friend booked for us through Hotwire.  Prime location if you want to be in Hollywood, across the street from Grauman's Chinese Theatre, and easily find cabs.  Don't think I'd ever pay full price for this unless I'm purposely looking for the Hollywood-ish crowd/attitude/swank without really having to leave the hotel. 4 stars for location, cleanliness/comfort of room, and Matt the bartender at Library Bar. Minus one for the "you're not worth my time" attitude from front desk (although the valet, security, and maid staff were nice and helpful), the roar of the air conditioner in the room, and no lotion (gotta say, this was prob the most surprising cuz you'd think a 4 star, $200+ room/night would have lotion!).

I will never go there again, but I did have a fabulous time at Roe.  And the good times were because of my friends, not the venue. We got to the club at 10:30 on a Saturday night only to find a long line.  We said we were with a birthday party dinner and got to the front of the line, only to pay $15 cover (way too expensive).  Upstairs we meet our friends and began dancing in the crowded area.  There is no really dance floor, just a big corridor with people moving around.  The entire time I was dancing, I was being elbowed and pushed around.  It was way to crowded, and it seemed like no one was just in place dancing.  I like crappy top 40 music to dance to, but this DJ sucked.  He played too many undanceable songs and the transitions were terrible from silence to random drum beat. I will not be returning on my own accord, but would go if my friends dragged me.
