by Gina C. on This review is for the Patio only: Hot weather should NOT equal hot red wine. And what was with the plastic champagne glasses with fingerprints smudged all over it? This patio has potential, but felt like just an afterthought. The $6 menu was limited. Champagne came in plastic, dirty-looking cups, but tasted good. My friend's red wine almost had steam coming out of it - it was just hot and sour. My friend's white wine was good. The $6 appetizer plates were TINY. Like they were made for David the Gnome. The hamachi + tuna tartare bites were good, as were the mini lobster hot-dogs, but boy were they SMALL. The truffle popcorn was tasty, but to me, was just one up from regular buttered popcorn. My friends and I left after an hour because it was way too warm out - I'd like to give this place a try on a cool evening. And to go flirt with the hot bartender chick I was crushing on ;)
by Shelton Minugh on My first review comes courtesy of Circle. I only went there on Thursdays so I can't speak for their Friday or Saturday parties. You know the deal already, its a Korean club but other asians are welcome. Problem is, if you're not asian, the fatty fat f$%% owner will stare at you like he wants to eat you. You can't miss him, he's quite large and breathes heavy due to his lungs being weighed down by his excess of fat. He has bad skin also because he eats too much grease. I heard he did a sit up once and started crying because he was both, really happy and also broke his rib. But I'm straying off topic here. There's a decent amount of girls but its still a sausage fest. Music always, ALWAYS, starts off good with good mixes of hip hop/top 40 hits, then the DJ goes into some weird mixes around 1 or 2 at night. You could tell when you're doing a bad job when people stop dancing. Even people who have absolutely no rhythm, which is about 90% of the people there, stop and look at the DJ with the "I can't get my swerve on" look. Later on, they go home to look up the word 'swerve' in the dictionary. If FOBS need to hide out from immigration, this is apparently their oasis. I swear I saw some people come in with oars. That being said, Thursdays are free but doesn't pick up until 1130 or 12 (they open around 9). Fridays and Saturdays, I heard, split the lines up into 2, one for girls, one for guys with Goku haircuts, Super Saiyan 3 that is. So even if you go there with girls, it doesn't matter. They let the people with bottle service in first and girls in second. Goku's stay in line and wait while practicing their english. Other notes: People who work there are constantly hitting on girls, the dance floor is relatively big, they have a foam machine and a lot of bottle seating. Bottom line, good layout, cute if not mostly snobby girls and rude racist owner and workers. One good point is the bartender. Cute spanish girl who's too nice and too smokin to be workin in there.
by Owen Hershberger on We went last night. They were nice at the door, quite unusual for a club in San Francisco! And then, we actually got to "slide" down into the club! For those of you not interested in sliding, there is some other method to get down; stairs, etc. They make you take your shoes off when you are going down, so make sure to have cute toes, or clean socks on! The bartenders took our orders quickly and didn't try to make us open tabs. The music was lots of fun, and some guy even gave us impromtu swing dance lessons. The decor is great and if you are a girl, the restrooms have plenty of stalls, are clean and very, very, cute! I will absolutely be coming back here, and bringing parties through. Why not 5 stars then? We dropped a beer. Didn't break it, just dropped it, and the staff member gave us such attitude for having to swiffer the spill up. Weird. Dude, that's your job, and we were nice about it. Loose the tude!
