by Nick S. on This place quickly became the standard for 10-20 dollar meal experiences. So far, everyone else has come up empty in comparison. The food is FANTASTIC for what you pay. The wit staff is informal and friendly. We even had brunch there one time- WOW- it was great- they have an awesome little outside side section that we enjoyed- it felt like we were in San Francisco. One night for dinner with another couple we looked up and could see some of the herbs and tomatoes they grow right on the roof- then we were eating them! That was classic!

Sooo my girl and I went here this past Saturday to see what the HYPE was all about..Okayy well I knew someone who promotes here but he wasn't there so he told me to ask for a Bo Borrougs and a guy named Larson..sooo I ask one of the bouncers and he's like sweetie just get in line and than you can ask for them..WTF?? Soooo I'm kinda upset here cuz I DO NOT wait in line for clubs...The line was seriouslyyy insaneee!! So were just standing around and we hear and see other people texting Bo and asking for Larson..we just look at eachother and laugh...sooo EVERYONE knows these guys..greattttt... Well..10 mins later I get us in..I got it like that..:) We walk in and I'm just like in AWWWWEEEE with this place..this place is freaken beautifullll...cabanas and the lighting, the decor, the whole ambiance was just beautifullll...Loved the waitresses lil teeny outfits it was just awesome...Oh and it's 10:30 pm it's not very packed at all there are some people having dinner and there are tables everywhere..I'm just wondering when this place is gonna get poppin.. Were walking around and who do we see...The sexyy Mr. Shemar Moore was there with his entourage in his cabana..We also saw Benji Madden that night chillen with his posse...Nice to see celebs.. As far as the other crowd oh my gosh there were more females than males which is understandable but the male crowd...UGLYYY..older looking guys trying to talk to us and show off..puhleaseeee we dont care about your money...Ohhh ladies..hey ladies...come here, come here are you girls persian? are you persian?? NO idiot..Were Indian. =) We just walk away!! It was pretty cold outside so we walked back in and my girlfriend had her arms crossed and some douchebag was like hey girl what's up why you mad? Mad, mad for what?? Were not bad, were COLD, do you not see the goosebumps on our arms? ha..whatever...once again we walk away smiling. It's around 12:30pm now and finally some more people are in but it's not really poppin as I expected it to be..Music was decent could've been better...By this time were just OVER IT...We just walk out and leave... Drais is more of a social loungey place not a club type of atmosphere very chill..You gotta come with a biggg group or get a table, cabana etc to really enjoy yourself..I would not mind coming here to have dinner or something one day buttt this place just didnt do it for me.. As we walked out the door we still saw a hugeeee line and people begging to get in...SUCKSSS..I wanted to yell that this place wasn't all that. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THE AMBIANCE but not my cup of tea..It was just something about the people here it was just very STUCK up crowd and just interesting looking characters here...Not to mention some weirdosss.. Not my SCENE..seriously overrated! been to way better places than this.
