Has Slide gotten trashier or is it just me? I used to like Slide b/c of its classy ambiance and crowd, but the last couple of times I went, I witnessed some raunchy and scandalous shit. One guy had his shirt off, drunk off his ass, and was literally molesting a poor girl. Well, maybe not such a poor girl since she seemed to be enjoying it. I saw people dropping their glasses everywhere and it got so stuffy and nasty to the point where I had to go up and get some air. I never looked back after that.... we quite enjoyed ourselves at Jack in the Box across the street with our curly fries, instead of being pushed, shoved, and stepped on. It never used to be that bad.... or I'm just getting old. If you still want to go there, make sure you have more girls than guys, otherwise you'd have to get a bottle service to get in!

While I'm not usually a fan of the trendy (and this place is trendy), I enjoyed the food here. This comes with the caveat: You have to be willing to spend. We had a salad topped with beets and carrots and some other goodies with a divine balsamic vin. dressing, weird to say the but way the beets and carrots were shredded made the dressing to "stuff" ratio really great. We then shared some sweet potato fries and normal fries, good, but just fries. I'm a sucker for a loaded burger that isn't cooked to death and that's what I got here. There were other aspects of the place I wasn't able to sample (the beer journeys, for one thing...being pregnant has it's downfalls), they had some really interesting beer picks up there, I was salivating just at the thought of some of them. If you have a taste for something more than Bud, Miller or the usual watery junk you should check this place out just for thier selection of craft beers.

Cozy, initmate, and small 'mini-club' in a very unadorned neighborhood of LA. After reading rateclubsers' reviews, my friend and I came to check out the vibe at The Little Temple. We got here a bit too early so we came back around 11pm after drinks at 4100 Bar which was just up the street (see my review on bar below). Since we arrived just before 11pm, there was no cover (Yay!) and we easily found street parking on a Saturday night! Yay! and of course the place was DEAD but I got a chance to just sit in the comfy booth and enjoy listening to the dj's spin in both rooms. One was mostly hip hop and the other was more house music. Overall, laid back atmosphere with inexpensive stiff drinks. It starts getting crowded after midnight. I like that it's low-key, but I still prefer big dance floors, big drinks, hot-lookin people since I don't get out much often! Place is easy to miss, I remember seeing a bright "Thai Massage" sign across the street so keep your eyes open for that! Ooh, that's my next review destination unless it's one of those other "thai massages" where there's nothing thai about it...
