by Kim l. on What a freaking nightmare! GlamLA was promoting on Saturday night. So we park in the garage behind the club $20. We walk around to the entrance at 10pm. The crowd was amassing. There were two separate areas: one for glist and the other for tables. We were ushered into the glist area. Security kept telling us to move in. There was no line so we were being pushed forward. There was no organization whatsoever. The bday girl arrive about 15 mins later and I pulled her towards the front where we spotted a guy with a clipboard. She finally got the attention of the promoter and he told her only 5 people at a time. Our group was about 60 ppl. WTF! Seriously! As we stood there waiting to get tickets to go in the crowd behind us kept pushing to get to the front. Not a good place to be if you are claustrophobic that's for sure. Anyways, I was one of the first to get in from our group. I walked in and saw the new and improved Garden of Eden now known as MyHouse. It did look nice, but it's basically the same layout as Garden. There was a huge patio for the smokers complete with a bbq pit. The inside was sooo dark I couldn't even see the faces of the people standing a foot away from me. The music was ok. The bday girl got hella wasted but it looked like she had a blast which is all that mattered. Bottom line: nice new venue, sucky organization, I will not be back anytime soon. Note to friends: please please please do not have your birthday here.
by Shani S. on First time I experienced the "Tenjune Experience" it was super awesome here. At the time the door was ran by i believe Alex and was super difficult. However, it wasn't a problem for my friend and I. It was what I was expecting from NYC nightlife. Tons of models, hot guys, dancing on couches etc. As the years have gone by, this place have progressively gotten worst. They like to create the illusion that this place is frequented by the hot crowd (models) when this place is merely a has-been haven. Everyone looked washed up in cheap $10 Forever 21 dresses inside. I would probably say it is one of THE worst clubs in NYC now. Ohh everyone pushes in here....the dance floor will get super crowded, no room to dance. It is just a HOT mess here. Last time I was at Tenjune was for Leighton Meister performance and it was messy then.
