Immaculate. Expensive, and worth it. $42 for two cocktails. Perfectly executed cocktails without distracting showmanship. Everyone and everything was demure, luxurious, and classic. The view is breathtaking. And the fact that it's indoors is such a plus. Fresh air is good, but who wants to worry about the weather. I'd much rather have the carpet beneath my feet : ) It's not the Boom Boom Room, because it's not in nightclub mode- and in my opinion it's best this way. For a while, so many great places were lacking in their light. For all the effort put into the surroundings, I think a well lit space enhances the whole experience. The nude tones with hints of orange and yellows; it was Lush. I wanted to stay longer and Indulge in all of it. The guests are either exceptionally beautiful or Wealthy and occupied with excellent company. Your server may have been featured in vouge. So keep in mind, it's not a place to picks someone up, - it's a place to not think about the money being spent while having a casual, yet luxurious nightcap. Don't leave without visiting the restroom. You can see the gorgeous light fixture from the Highline beaming with opulence as it calls to you... intoxicates you with the desire to be Up There.

STK was awesome every step of the way. Went on a crowded Thursday night. Had an 8pm reservation, but one of my crew was late. Not a problem...the hostess told us to chill at the bar for as long as we wanted, and once we'd had a couple of drinks, she got us seated immediately. Speaking of the bar, it was hopping and the drinks were strong and good. So far so good. I had the mini big mac appetizer with foie gras, which was just insanely good. We actually ordered a second plate of them. Entrees were very good too. I had skate which was just fantastic. Great service from start to end. My only gripe was that it was a bit too loud for dinner, but even that gripe is evened out by the fact that the loud music was really good. So I wasn't too bummed. Really good spot. I will definitely go back.

Maybe this place is completely different when it's not the holiday season - I hope so. Because when I stopped by in early December, I couldn't get out of there fast enough. It was Corporate Holiday Party Hell. The staff was stressed out and rude. The vibe was uncomfortable, awkward and unwelcoming. This club-lounge-bar-bowling alley misses on all attempts. Maybe I'll try again after the holiday - but honestly there are many better options in the city.
