by Steve G. on Went here on a Sunday evening for dinner and it was buzzing - great atmosphere. Service was exceptional ffrom the off, with a very friendly and courteous waiter who earned every penny of his tip. For starters we had four small plates between four of us and picked at all of them, and all were excellent. I have no idea what was in their duck spring rolls but they were unbelievably tasty. For my entree I took the plunge and had the kobe ribeye. Tender, rich and incredibly heavy, but my GOD was it tasty. I have to say I left the place as satisfied as I've ever left any restaurant, and if you don't go for the $85 main course (which I did), it's really not THAT expensive. Worth a visit.

I was very impressed: -It's very close to BART -High ceilings + spacious room = no gross club funk -Clean bathrooms with multiple stalls There *IS* a 20% gratuity added to CC drink orders at the bar, but there are large multiple signs at the bar letting you know this. Visa and MC charge VENDORS 20% each time they use the CC services, so it's understandable that Mezzanine is trying to not lose money. Good club, nice atmosphere.....the only thing I didn't like is that they refused to open up the balcony, and there are tables and chairs up there...but perhaps it was the band who requested it that night? If there are 50-60 people upstairs, then the floor looks less crowded. Great club in SF.
