by Elisabeth R. on Zahav has all the things that great restaurants have: a delicious variety of food, interesting cocktails, excellent service, and a pleasant atmosphere. But what sets Zahav apart from other great restaurants is the creativity that goes into the food. You will eat things here that you may never have tried before- or you may eat a more conventional ingredient (say, eggplant) prepared in a very unconventional way (roasted and grilled with an amazing tahini sauce and pistachios and lots of other delicious bits.) Luckily, this is a small plates place, so you can get the benefit of sampling lots of different dishes. Get one of the combo meals where you get to try the salad course, hummus, some plates, and dessert. I've eaten here twice, and each time was one of the best meals I've ever had. I wish I could be more specific about what exactly I had- but maybe it's more helpful to say that everything I tasted was absolutely delicious and there wasn't anything that stood out as being particularly weak. It's just ALL GOOD. I know there is a lot of hype about this restaurant, and I think it is well-deserved hype, because this place really delivers. Even if you're not a huge fan of middle eastern food, you should give it a try- because this IS middle eastern food, undoubtedly, but it's way better than any other middle eastern food I've ever had. I recommend this place for special occasions- it's a great place to celebrate something memorable, like a birthday or an anniversary. Definitely make reservations. Oh, and the waitstaff are really knowledgeable about all the different dishes, so if you have any questions about what you're eating they will be able to answer them for you!

From the affordable drink prices and bottle service, to the great music, Indie, House, Electro and New Wave 80's to it's Entertaining, sexy Burlesque, to the Bartenders, and over all service, and now the kitchen serving food at night, Well It doesn't get any better... Oh yes it does... It's much cooler now that the A.C functions!! ;) P.S. Stella's on tap!! Love it! Overall cool place to go with your friends, I recommend it to all
