Living in the South Bay there's not any good clubs or bars so I was in search of a club with cool people, good music and not outrageously expensive and found it at DNA Lounge. Everyone wears whatever they feel like wearing and most people are very approachable. Not happy with bartenders here...some were short and rude but oh well, drinks were good. The music is the best part about this club...there's several live performances throughout the evening that were very entertaining. There is a gay lounge upstairs but overall the crowd was very mixed. People of all ages but mostly college aged kids in 20s. I plan to go back in 2 weeks for the Friday event 10/22. Get there around 9:30 and you will find street parking and get in for much cheaper cover.

I have to say I was pretty disappointed in this place. I went here for the first time last week. I will admit is was a somewhat exceptional evening. My husband went to Cornell and Cornell made the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA tournament. The Cornell Alumni Association decided that Jillian's was the SF location for watching the game. Jillian's was informed of this and knew ahead of time that they would have a large crowd that evening. here is why I was really unimpressed with the place: 1) Since they knew there would be a large crowd, there really is no excuse for not having enough staff. It was pretty painful to get our waitress's attention the rare times that she did walk by. 2) It took well over an hour for us to get the food we ordered. 3) The "food" consisted of: a) a pepperoni pizza which was really just a very thin crust small frozen pizza. It was already a bit cold by the time it arrived and b) "dipping nachos" which was a few tortilla chips and cheese sauce from a can. Neither of these items should have been expensive (they were) and neither of these items should have taken so long to arrive. 4) It also took forever to get a beer (when we could find a waitress). They seriously could have made a lot more money that evening by having enough staff to fulfill patron's orders. As it was, no one in our party drank much because we were waiting so long to simply get beers. It's really too bad. Jillian's does have a lot of TVs and could be a great place to watch sports. This was a perfect opportunity to impress a large number of people and get repeat customers. Instead I was underwhelmed and probably won't go back.
