Felt a little dizzy with all the b.o. around us and heavy moshing to the live band - TOTALLY not my scene... until the DJ and strobe lights came on. NOW it's a pah-tay! Their walls lit up to visuals consisting of comics, dancing bears, half-GaGa half-Britney heads singing to the harmonies of Backstreet Boys "Backstreet's Back" mixed with a killer trance beat. Nothing hear sounds cheesy/amateurish, and nothing here ends with a clashing beat or drop that doesn't seamlessly mold into the next song. Impressed with the music and the men in leather chaps gyrating to the interlude show near midnight. Tips for first-timers (or Bootie virgins): - No line. Cover was $12 on a Saturday night for us. - Lounge upstairs behind the stage area plays more minimal with strobe lights and more area to sit in. Definitely be in a trance state to be there or then you'd better be back into the action downstairs. - NO NEED to come dressed up! Why come in a dress and heels when you can stroll in with sneakers and jeans? Or even better, leather chaps. - The surrounding area are other clubs and bars so feel free to roam. - Close to the huge parking lot and small alley-ways to sneak in your car without having to pay for parking. - Bathrooms = gross. The seats are metal so... stand up and hope for the best (if you're a girl) Would definitely be back - this time for the afterparty!
by Kazu O. on Wait, what happened last night? Fill me in, because I don't remember anything! My birthday was that kinda night. Everything was a blur, but all I know is, I had a great time. Eve is a great venue for the "I'm going to be drinking here at ___pm so come drop by if you're around" type of outings, with no cover and relatively short lines. The decor in the lounge is nice, and I love that seating is easily found (and not reserved only to those who buy bottle service). The only negative thing though was that I came here late on a weeknight once and the crowd was.. well... straight outta Compton? Either way I'll be coming back here often because it's such a chill place to drink at.
