If you are on guestlist make sure you get there on time because the line at Roe gets ridiculously long!! YIKES! My girls and I got there around 11 and since there were so many of us the bouncer let us by pass the line and gave us free tickets to get in! SWEET! Good luck on the dancefloor. This place gets PACKED! It was not too fun getting pushed and stomped on by people. Roe is pretty small and you can seriously walk around the whole place in less than 5 mins. 1-star for the music. Saturday night was CRACKING! They played everything from hip hop to dance. I loved it. 1-star for the bartenders. They were fast..hot and super nice! Drinks are standard so drink up folks! Overall we ended up staying at Roe for little less than 2 hours. We decided to leave since it was way to crowded and we wanted more of a diverse crowd that night. I would come back again perhaps on a low key night :)

I came here on Saturday with 5 other girls for a ladies' night out-- dinner, drinks, conversation, and dancing. I have never been to this new location before (Amsterdam Walk); it's much more spacious than the original. Overall, great times! It was nice to have a change of pace from my typical, "no effort" kinds of nights in dive bars. First was dinner... well tapas. I ate enough for it to be my dinner. All of the tapas are very reasonably priced, between $3 and $8 maybe. There are also larger and more expensive items on the menu as well. Here is what tried: Empanadas de Carne - Delish, chicken (I think) and goat cheese stuffed in pastries served with a yummy tomato sauce Taco de Bistec - Beef brisket taco (my favorite out of everything), very well seasoned! Taco de Pez - Grouper taco with slaw and an aioli sauce Edamame - This is not the name of the dish but it was edamame served in endives and topped with some kind of cheese. Just okay for me, I like my edamame in the pod and salted, this was a little too much. We drank on $5 mojitos all night (made with Tommy Bahama rum), and although I am very wary of my mixed drinks (I hate too much sugar or anything complicated going on), these were delicious and actually had some bite to them! I loved the dinner atmosphere (we ate outside in the covered area where they had heaters running), it was darkly lit, relaxed, intimate, and I loved hearing the sounds of the live band drifting in as we chatted. I also loved the classy feel to the place; everyone was dressed nicely, no unruliness... just good people there to enjoy a nice night out. After dinner we moved onto the dance floor. Even though they were pretty crowed, bar service was fast so we had no problems with that. The band played for a while longer then they switched it up to a DJ (or just a prerecorded CD, I don't really know). Music was nice, Latin mixed with a little Raggaeton mixed with some Top 40. I have to admit I wasn't feeling some of the selection (I hardly think Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody" is appropriate club music, no matter how you mix it) but all in all it was fine. The men, in my experience were also a lot more "respectful" than some of places I visit; it seemed they were just there to dance and have a great time rather than see who they can take home for the night. I noticed that they had free salsa lessons on Wednesdays at 8, which I will definitely consider going to. I want to brush up so I can compete with all the amazing dancers I saw on the floor! I would love to come back here soon :) Oh yes.... free, no-hassle valet parking!!

You know the deal with this place so I'll keep it short. You have to try it, along with Pat's, get both, they are right next to each other.  I prefer it with provolone, whiz is good too.  I like the bread better here, but they are less generous than Pat's with the meat.
