by Sarah G. on Atmosphere is one of my normal "to-go" places when we can't think of anywhere else to go. It gets 3 stars (probably 3 1/2). Depending on who is promoting and who is DJ'ing - the night can vary from a 2 star place to a 4 star place. One thing to mention is that there is not much ventilation in this place. Recently I noticed they started putting fans up by the bar to get the circulation going. There is a dance area right when you walk in the door and then also a larger dance floor and bar in the back. My opinion only, but the music is usually better in the front section and gives you a little more room to dance. One reason I continue to come back is my favorite bartender in SF! JAMES!!! Awesome bartender, great personality, treats us to some flair and tricks every once and a while, even got him to take a shot with me on my bday!!! =) Definitely a reason I keep coming back!
