by Maria B. on i'm currently on a crush phase with Eve. if all else fails, i really don't mind coming here ## weekends in a row. i don't what it is about the place, but i just settle in with drink in hand and the night just cruises by. i've always been here on nights with great music and substantial eye candy. ha. but who needs that when you've got a whole group of friends who are just down for a fun night out? my only fail at Eve: is forgetting to push the bathroom open to get out. not pull. dammit.
by Scott M. on holy shit! The fact that i have lived in SF for years and not been here nearly sparked a profound depression. Went to the Gen art/ Rateclub/ the artists den show here and was definately stoked on the acoustics and intimate feel the place engenders. For whatever reason, this place seems to make people feel like they are back home chilling with high school friends, and by that I mean, everyone seemed to be completely housed. Housed in the mickeys bigmouth, bartles and james, smoking out from a beer can or apple and sneaking back into the house through the window type of way. Was talking with a fellow Ratecluber at one point and was basically acosted by a woman who wanted to know how my motorcycle shop was going (don't have one), and where i had been (don't know her). A for effort, D- for the visual acuity, but I have a hard time coming up with something bad to say about a place where the "no i didn't just graduate from college, non-oc watching, and no I don't love mas sake" crowd turns it on like that. -S
