by Jon M. on Not much to this place, which wasn't a bad thing. It was a smoky, hipster-dominated bar, but the band we saw was great. It is what it sets out to be, and nothing more or less.
by Sarah G. on I've never been there past 8pm or on a weekend, but the beer is decent as is the food. Atmosphere is nasty and pit-like, so I was pleasantly surprised that the food was as good as it was. Solid effort on nachos and the mediterranean salad had the nice touch of curry sauce in the hummus - good stuff. My boyfriend was happy with his fish and chips as well, and I was happy that they weren't $15 (no excuse for that, ever. it's cod and potatoes for crying out loud). What I like the most is that the menu (and prices) don't try to be something they're not, while still managing to offer a decent array of options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Edit - Went on Saturday night while waiting for Zuzu's line to shorten and eww my goodness - BAD music, cheesy-ass crowd (yes, I'm talking you, guido who tried to hump my leg. during the slow part of "like a prayer." while i was dancing with my boyfriend. eww.). Instant bad mood. Yuck yuck yuck.
