by Tory Rosemore on I like Avalon. It does have a lotta younger people which is a bummer, but it's the only place I can get my electro fix (Control Fridays). No other club really rocks the music I like. Drinks are a tad bit too high and a tad bit too weak, parking's a tad too expensive, and the guests lists (which you can sign up for in at least 3 ways that I know about) are a bit unreliable. I mean often times my incentive to go there vs some other show is the fact that I'm expecting to pay half the price at the door or nothing (which to be honest I would turn around and spend on a drink anyway)... and I come to find out I'm still not on the list... Weak.... But......... like I said. Best music... that's it for me. That's why I'm there all the time. Most of my favorite nights have been there... Danger, Etienne de Crecy, Dada Life... All four stars are for that one reason alone.
by Bella W. on I've been fortunate enough to come here and enjoy the show a few dozen times. I actually dated someone who worked here (he managed the restaurant and bartended and ran the bachelorette parties with his buddy, Noah). He even put me to work when he was short staffed. This place is absolutely fun! Touted as gender illusionists, the performers are talented and beautiful. The food- well, umm..did I mention the performers? No, the food isn't that bad, but I've had better. It's well worth it just to come for the entertainment. 3 1/2 stars
