by Kathaleen Chrispin on As someone who does not normally take these reviews too seriously and am always willing to give an establishment a chance, I wish for once I would have listened to what has already been said about Harlot. We came out to the city for a girlfriend's birthday and I called and emailed Harlot in advance to see if there were any cover charges, guest lists, and lines that we would have to wait in. My email was never returned but after attempting several phone calls I did get through to a nice woman, who although sounded rushed, did answer all my questions. She stated there were no cover charges, no guest lists, and it's generally a good idea to arrive by 10pm. With this knowledge in hand, I felt comfortable that we would have a smooth night. When we arrived at approximately 9:30pm, the bouncer at the front door rudely announced to me that there is in fact a guest list, that we were not on it, and that he was not letting us in. I calmly explained my previous phone call and that it was out girlfriend's birthday. This fell on deaf ears as he made us wait in the rain for no apparent reason, and also ignoring that fact that there was no line or people waiting to get in! I told him that we would pay to get in but denounced this idea and said it doesn't work like that. I asked him how we can get in then if we can't pay and he said that you had to be on the guest list, at which point he produced a clipboard with scribble on it. At this point I had enough and we left to go to Gravity in the Marina. As someone who frequents the city every weekend, I have never even come close to being treated this outlandishly bad at one of San Francisco's many clubs. I will never return to, nor recommend Harlot to anyone. My advice to anyone planning on visiting the city for a night on the town is to avoid Harlot at all costs as there are numerous other great establishments in the city. Good luck.
by Dona Mago on Great music. The DJ played my song request right away. There's a drummer that beats to the music...haha cool. Bars aren't crowded so don't have to wait to get drinks. However, shots are expensive. Though busy, more than enough space for everyone on the 2 dance floors. Places for people to sit to rest their feet. Diverse crowd.
by Lily T. on 25 dollars to get in.. great performance...some men may seem gay... with black nail polish.. but their buff and tight butt swipe u away... ladies shove some dollars bills in ur shirt, they will take them by their lips slowly going to ur neck.. friends shove a dollar in ur fren mouth, stripper will take them by their tongue and move slowly to ur breast.... Marcus... is the hottest one in town...
