Preface: I thought I was going to brunch. Like tea and eggs brunch. Perhaps I've been living under a rock, but I was wholly unprepared for the shit-show that is Lime brunch. It dawned on me when a group of girls in 4" heels and booty dresses came in and started in on the tequila shots. It was 10am. There were three things that pissed me off majorly about Lime: 1. I didn't know I was going to be under dressed for brunch. 2. This tweaked out gay guy who could barely keep his eyes open and could only utter the words "Guuuuurl!" over and over again threw himself down between me and my friend and was so belligerent that he literally slapped me in the face in an attempt to dance to Beyonce. No intervention from the staff except to call him a "hot mess". And then he called me a bitch because I told him I didn't want him to hug me...or grab my legs...or touch my face. Meanwhile his equally tweaked out, straight wing man used this opportunity to come and hit on us while we were being molested by his friend. LEAVE ME ALONE! I JUST WANT SOME G.D. HOME FRIES AND A MIMOSA! 3. There was a mouse that ran through the waiting area and under a 4" heel before disappearing into a crack in the wall. Qualifier: If I had known what I was getting into at 10am in the morning, I probably would have been less uptight. The food (eggs benedict/biscuits) was decent and I felt better after several mimosas, but I still super resent getting no help in fending off the tweakers from the staff. C'mon guys. Really?

Delux seemed a little yuppie for me, but we tried it anyways after my friend kept raving about it. I got the original Delux burger with the caramelized onions and whatnot on it. I liked the soft baguette it came on; but at the same time when I want a burger I want a BURGER, you know? So one of those oversized buns would have been better, I think. We shared an order of the sweet potato and regular fries, which were good with that aoili dip that comes with it. They were crispy and thin cut, which I liked. I was disappointed with their small selection of burgers. I like variety. But they did offer salads (the chinese chicken salad, by the way, is great) and I think a few other items. On the plus side, they're open to 2am... and they have cool bathrooms if that counts for anything.
