I was invited to see a cover-band here. I was skeptical just cause it's SO ''far north''. Yes, I'm THAT girl. Austin is a pretty small city compared to most...take Houston for example. It can take longer than 30 minutes to get across town. A 20 minute drive from point A to point B in Austin? That's far for us. We're so spoiled. ;) I leave my South East roots for a night and end up here and am strangely attracted to the door guy...Oh, I skipped a part, that was the end of the night, when I was drunk. ;) lol-jk. This place lays right off of Research Blvd. and sits right off the hwy. Pulling into this place I saw a mob of people standing outside...yes a MOB of people. Parking is a female dog, and what's up with the Police men standing outside...asking me if I'm drunk while I'm just arriving?? As I look at him in disbelief and say ''No, I just got off work and am meeting friends here. Is that okay?" He waves his hand as if I'm some working minion. Whatev, that's neither here or there when it comes to Sherlock's. I finally find a parking spot and am asked by 2 different door men to see my i.d. Okay, I get it..you guys wanna make sure I'm not 18, so nice to be carded sometimes. I make my way to the side and find my friends at a booth...we're having fun, talking, then all of a sudden a man with a microphone jumps on our table and is singing ''Like a G6''. lol-dancing his little heart out. This is the lead singer of Blue Finger Disco. Those guys know how to have fun and keep the crowd involved. Bar tender service was quick...surprising since there were SO many people here. I cannot pin point a ''type'' of people who come here, but I will say I saw a little bit of everything. But did see more business people than anything else. I don't go out to places/bars this way much and I felt like I was in a small town...where there was only 1 bar, and everybody went there because it was the only place to go. If I'm in the area, I'd definitely drop by again. :)

I have no idea what you people are talking about...I feel like I am taking crazy pills or something. This place sucked. It was a large empty space that had bad music playing and a cover. I will never go back. This is the first time you have failed me rateclubs. Don't let it happen again...dun dun dunnnn

We went there to see All Star Funk Alliance and it was great. The open dance floor with the stark white background and furnishings has a "Logan's run" hedonist feel to it. I loved it. My buddy works there and it was great running into him. The staff are performers all the way, costumes and all or not enough in some cases. Way funky without having installation style artwork all over the place that may potentially stab or burn you. It's where artists and Burningman folks go to get sheik but not dirty so it's not your typical BM party where you might tell someone to shut up. I like BM but I tend to get annoyed at people who: Are obsessed with it (there are 356 other days of the year folks don't quit your day gig) Act like snobs to people who don't go. Feel like the borrow/barter thing should be a way to do everything even when your not at BM. Constantly wear florescent fuzzy clothing and glitter I want an all inclusive place to go to where "straight" folks can check out a different scene and I think Supperclub has it. I'll try eating there...that may change my rating a bit.
